Version History
v1.32.0
29 June 2026
- Changed When switching profiles, apps not in the new profile are now hidden rather than quit — your unsaved work is preserved and apps stay accessible from the Dock.
- Fixed Saved window positions are now correctly applied to apps that were moved to a new Space during restore.
v1.31.0
1 June 2026
- New Window gaps — a configurable screen-edge margin and inter-window gutter are applied to all snap zones. Toggle on/off in Settings → Window Snap (on by default, 8 px margin / 6 px gap).
- New Stage Manager keyboard shortcut (⌃⌥⌘M) — toggles Stage Manager on and off globally.
- Changed The Stage Manager pin now automatically follows Stage Manager state — turning SM off dims the pin; turning it back on re-enables it.
- Fixed Keyboard shortcut recording completely rewritten — custom shortcuts now capture reliably in all situations including command-modifier combinations.
- Changed All three sections in Window Snap settings are now collapsible, with your expanded/collapsed preferences saved between launches.
v1.30.0
31 May 2026
- New Snap back — snapping a window to the zone it's already in restores its original size and position. Tap the same shortcut twice to undo a snap.
- New Stash (⌃⌥⌘D) — parks the front window at its nearest screen edge, leaving a sliver visible. Press again to restore.
- New Edge snap — drag a window to within 8 px of any screen edge to snap it without using the pin overlay. Toggle in Window Snap settings.
v1.25.0
29 May 2026
- New Throw to Display pins — drag a window to the left or right screen edge during a drag to throw it to the previous or next display. Enable in Window Snap → Pin groups.
- Changed About Workspaces moved to the top of the menu — standard macOS placement.
- Fixed About panel now always shows the correct installed version.
v1.24.0
29 May 2026
- New Throw to next/previous display via keyboard — ⌃⌥⌘→ and ⌃⌥⌘← move the front window to the next or previous display, preserving its position relative to the screen.
- Changed Restore notification now shows the number of apps and Spaces restored (e.g. "Work restored — 6 apps, 3 spaces").
v1.23.0
29 May 2026
- New Automatic updates — Mac Workspaces now checks for new versions and lets you update from the menu bar.
v1.21.0
29 May 2026
- Changed The snap zone overlay is now a compact screen-map grid — chip positions mirror actual screen regions so the layout is immediately intuitive.
- Fixed Hovering briefly over a chip no longer commits a snap — a short dwell is required, eliminating accidental snaps when moving the cursor across the overlay.
v1.20.0
29 May 2026
- New Cursor grid mode — a compact snap zone panel appears beside the cursor when you start dragging a window. Flick to the zone and release — no need to drag to the screen edge.
v1.19.0
28 May 2026
- New 16 snap zones, including thirds and two-thirds. The overlay now covers the full range of positions with a redesigned glass chip layout.
v1.18.0
28 May 2026
- Fixed Menu bar garbling after a profile restore. Spaces are now properly refreshed so the correct menu bar appears on each desktop.
- Fixed Login items (apps set to Open at Login) are no longer closed when switching profiles.
v1.6.0
19 May 2026
- New Configurable keyboard shortcuts — record any key combination per snap zone. Shortcuts persist across launches.
- New Conflict detection — alerts you if a new shortcut is already in use by another zone.
- New Profiles now save and restore Stage Manager and auto-arrange Spaces state.
v1.3.0
19 May 2026
- New Drag-to-snap pin overlay — frosted-glass chips appear around the screen when you drag a window, snap on release.
- New Login profile — choose which layout restores automatically when you log in.
- Fixed Text selection and resize handles no longer trigger the snap overlay.
v1.0.0
18 May 2026
- New Initial release — save your Space layout as a named profile and restore it with one click. Apps launch on the correct Space, windows land where you left them.
