Getting started
Up and running in minutes
No configuration, no cloud account. Install, save your first layout, and you're done.
-
Download and install
Open
Workspaces-1.32.0.dmg, drag the app to your Applications folder, then double-click to launch. Workspaces lives in your menu bar — no dock icon, no clutter. -
Grant Accessibility permission
macOS will prompt you to allow Accessibility access. This is required — it's how Workspaces reads and moves your windows. Open System Settings, find Workspaces in the list, and toggle it on.
-
Arrange your windows
Open your apps and position them how you want — your code editor on the left, browser on the right, Slack in the corner. Get it exactly right for one context: Work, Design, Calls, whatever.
-
Save your layout
Click the Workspaces icon in your menu bar, then click Save Layout. Give the profile a name. That's it — your window positions are saved.
-
Restore with one click
Click the menu bar icon, click your saved profile name. Every window snaps back to exactly where you left it — across monitors, apps, and spaces.
